It all began in 1981 when seasoned musician Valentine Hoarca transitioned from playing guitar to becoming one of Vancouver’s most sought-after DJs. Praised for his ability to fill dance floors with hits from every era, Valentine’s success led him to officially launch his entertainment company, 

Maximum Beat DJ.

Valentine was more than just a DJ; he was a pioneer. He was among the first to bring karaoke to the city and personally trained dozens of aspiring DJs. In 2003, his nephew Daniel d’Oliveira joined the business, learning the ropes and eventually taking over the reins to evolve the company into what is now known proudly across the Greater Vancouver area as 

DJ Vancouver.
